The Canadian Museum of Nature is pleased to present a bug that is definitely outside the box… and magnificently sculpted in ice! A beautiful ice-carving of the stag beetle, Lucanus cervus, will be on display at Confederation Park. In Canada alone, there are more than 8,000 different species of beetles (350,000 species world-wide). Beetles like this one, are classified in the order Coleoptera. Meet the beetles at the museum’s current special exhibition. Discover their great variations in colour, shape and size!, 613-566-4700
